Billy Root and Marchant de Lange starred for Glamorgan as they beat Surrey by 64 runs to record their first One-Day Cup win of 2019.
Root anchored the home score of 323-7 with 113 not out, while De Lange bludgeoned 58 not out off 35 balls with five sixes, both career-bests.
De Lange followed up with three cheap wickets to leave Surrey 28-4.
Jordan Clark top-scored with 79 but Surrey’s hard-hitting recovery to 259 all out proved in vain.
Clark added 107 for the eighth wicket with Stuart Meaker, who went on to a career-best 50 as both sides sides found that batting became easier throughout the innings.
Earlier, Root’s acceleration in his partnership with de Lange added 113 in 10.3 overs to cap a superb Glamorgan fight-back after Morne Morkel (3-47) blew away the top order for Surrey, who were missing a host of players through England calls and injuries.
