Their Hyundai i20 Coupe WRC drifted wide at the exit of a corner in Saturday morning’s Maria Las Cruces special stage (SS8), and then hit a bank on its left-hand side, subsequently rolling numerous times. Both Neuville and Gilsoul were able to extract themselves from the car without assistance.
Neuville received medical attention on site, before both he and Gilsoul were taken to hospital as a precautionary measure. Both are confirmed to be fine, however they will take no further part in the rally this weekend.
