As the UFC prepares to land in Uruguay for the first time on Aug. 10, the first seven fights confirmed for the card were announced on Friday.

At the top of the list is a strawweight showdown between Tecia Torres and undefeated Brazilian prospect Marina Rodriguez.

Torres will look to stop her current three-fight losing streak when she returns in August after dropping bouts to current strawweight champion Jessica Andrade, former champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk and No. 1 ranked contender Weili Zhang. Prior to that trio of defeats, Torres had rattled off three wins in a row including a dominant performance over Michelle Waterson.

As for Rodriguez, she comes into the fight with an 11-0-1 record after earning her UFC contract by way of Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. Rodriguez debuted last September and earned a majority draw against Randa Markos before picking up a win over Jessica Aguilar in March to notch her first win in the UFC.

Former “Ultimate Fighter: Latin America” competitor Enrique Barzola will compete close to his native Peru when he faces off with Bobby Moffett, who looks to improve upon his 1-1 record in the UFC.

A pair of women’s flyweight bouts will also be featured on the card including Rachael Ostovich returning to action against Veronica Macedo while Ashlee Evans-Smith takes on Taila Santos.

Ciryl Gane meets Raphael Pessoa Nunes on the card while Rogerio Bontorin faces Raulian Paiva. The final fight announced on Friday was Geraldo De Freitas taking on Chris Gutierrez in bantamweight action.

UFC Fight Night from Uruguay goes down from the Antel Arena in Montevideo on Aug. 10 with the card airing on ESPN+ in the United States.
