Another Russian prospect has joined the Professional Fighters League roster. The company announced on Thursday the signing of unbeaten 135-pounder Umar Nurmagomedov, cousin of UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Nurmagomedov fought once under the PFL banner in 2018, defeating Saidyokub Kakhramonov via decision. After adding a couple of wins to his record, he returns to PFL to face Sidemar Honorio at the PFL 6 card in Atlantic City on Aug. 8.

The 22-year-old talent racked up a perfect 10-0 in less than three years as a professional fighter, stopping four of his opponents by way of submission. Honorio (13-6) won five of his last six bouts, capped off by a win over Liudvik Sholinian at Bellator 209.

“Umar Nurmagomedov has proven to be more than just ‘Khabib’s cousin,’ he is a rising star in the sport with unlimited potential,” PFL president said Ray Sefo stated in a release.

“We’re excited to add Umar to our PFL 6 card, building on what will be an incredible night of heavyweight and light heavyweight action with playoff spots on the line. This is also a great opportunity for Sidemar to fight close to home and prove himself against a difficult opponent in front of a national audience.”
