The Braga family will never forget the night of July 26, 2019, when father and son were both victorious inside the Future MMA cage in Sao Paulo, .

The first to compete at the Clube no was Gabriel Braga (4-0), a 21-year-old featherweight prospect who made quick work of Jean Inacio Soares (5-3) in the first round. With his father, Diego Braga in his corner, Gabriel stopped Soares with a precise ground and pound in just 85 seconds.

Later that night, his 40-year-old father took on 32-year-old veteran Jamil Silveira in a lightweight contest, winning via unanimous decision (29-28 x3). Both Braga (23-8-1) and Silveira (44-19-1) announced their retirements after the three-round fight.

Future MMA 7 was headlined by Herbert Souza (14-1) vs. Taigro Costa (15-4) for the inaugural bantamweight belt. All “Indio” needed was 3:10 to drop Costa with a left hand and tap him with a guillotine choke to claim the title and extra $500 for the “Fighter of the Night” bonus.
