Bellator MMA is once again calling on Italy’s favorite fighting son to anchor a show.

Officials announced Wednesday that Alessio Sakara (20-13, 2 NC) will fight Canaan Grigsby (8-7) at Bellator’s upcoming visit to Milan on Oct. 12. This will be Bellator’s debut in Milan, and it will take place at Allianz Cloud.

Though the current announcement says the bout will be the main event, a Bellator official told MMA Fighting that its placement could be subject to change.

Sakara has been in the main event of four consecutive Bellator shows in Italy, most recently losing by first-round KO to Kent Kauppinen in Genoa last December. The 17-year veteran has won four of his last six fights.

Grigsby, 39, will be making his Bellator debut. He has lost three of his last four fights and last competed in May 2017.
