Officials announced Tuesday that Smith (10-1) will fight short-notice replacement Khama Worthy (14-6) at UFC 241 on Saturday at Center in Anaheim, Calif. Worthy is stepping in for a returning Clay Collard (removed due to health issues, per the ), who was himself stepping in for an injured John Makdessi.

Smith now has the chance to continue his hot start in the . After winning a contract on , Smith has recorded back-to-back first-round knockouts over Dong Hyun Ma and Julian Erosa in his first two Octagon appearances.

Worthy has won five straight fights and most recently defeated Adam Ward at a 247 Fighting Championships show in Pennsylvania this past July, capturing that promotion’s lightweight title.
