Aleksandar Ilic has signed on the dotted line for his second KSW bout following his viral knockout of Polish fan favorite and Olympic bronze medallist Damian Janikowski in his promotional debut.
KSW confirmed to that the Serbian middleweight will face undefeated Polish knockout artist Cezary Kesik in his sophomore promotional outing. The organization docks in Croatia for the first time for KSW 51 on Nov. 9, and following his stunning finish of Janikowski, Ilic is well on his way to becoming a big name in the Balkan region.
Ilic (12-2-0) fights out of UFD Gym Dusseldorf, the same gym that produced Croatian prospect and KSW welterweight champion Roberto Soldic. He’s not competed since his dramatic third-round head kick knockout of Janikowski in March at Ilic will carry a five-fight winning streak into the contest.
Kesik (9-0-0) is also coming off a stoppage win in his KSW debut. The Polish prospect landed brutal elbows on Jakub Kamieniarz to bring their clash to close in the first round when they clashed at KSW 48. Before signing for KSW, Kesik was an established name under the Thunderstrike Fight League banner. He claimed the promotion’s middleweight title in 2017 and defended it once before signing for KSW.
