Former NCAA Division I wrestling champion Gregor Gillespie will face his toughest test to date when he meets one-time interim title contender Kevin Lee at UFC 244 in New York at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 2.
Gillespie has been a wrecking ball since arriving in the UFC with a perfect 5-0 record, including three knockouts and two submission wins along the way. The former Edinboro University All-American is 13-0 overall and is considered a potential challenger to the lightweight title if he can keep this streak alive.
Lee (17-5) has gone 1-3 over his past four fights after rattling off five wins in a row to earn an interim title shot back in 2017. He’s fallen on harder times lately with back-to-back losses to dos Anjos and Al Iaquinta, but Lee will attempt to return to his winning ways when he clashes with Gillespie in November.
